I always film a scratch track to listen back to what a piece sounds like after I compose it, before I begin the endless hours of practicing to play it “properly”. But this time, I found the rawness of the first take to be appealing. I’m a rebel by nature, and in an age where humans crave machine-like precision while machines are being trained to imitate our mistakes, authenticity seems like an act of defiance.
